Fondation Oumou Dilly

The two main fields of activity of the Fondation Oumou Dilly are higher education and cultural projects in a broad sense. A core objective of the Fondation Oumou Dilly is to support young African scholars to hone their academic skills and achievements. Based on the insights of the Nairobi Report, the foundation understands these as an interrelated process rather than as discrete, separate units. In cooperation with academic institutions in Africa, the Fondation Oumou Dilly provides spaces and resources supporting the whole trajectory of young career scholars. Increasingly, the Fondation Oumou Dilly is collaborating with cultural projects. Of particular interest are projects at the interface of Africa and Europe that combine science and culture. A key objective is to support African artists and groups to become more visible on an international level.
